Ro, the leading direct-to-patient healthcare company, has officially announced the launch of a new Ro Operating System, which is designed to deliver seamless, high-quality care journeys for millions of patients. Coming on the back of a six year-long development phase, the stated OS is powered by a proprietary suite of applications, tools, and features, marking a piece of detail that goes a long way in helping it integrate nationwide telehealth, lab and pharmacy services. Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, though, Ro Operating System actually makes a point to full its promise through a set of four different apps i.e. Patient app, Care Delivery app, Pharmacy app, and Lab app. Starting from the Patient app, which is capable of putting patients in control of their care at every possible touchpoint. As for how it does so, the answer resides in its ability to be a single stop for patients, a stop where they can message a provider, report a side effect, track progress, access medical records, manage goals, and do a whole lot more. Next up, we have the Care Delivery app. This one is actually presented as a provider’s homebase for effectively delivering, documenting, and monitoring patient care. Hence, no matter whether the agenda is to counsel a patient, review lab results, make changes to an existing treatment plan, you can bank upon the stated Care Delivery solution and its ability to surface the right information at the right time, scale the provider’s expertise, and support the quality and safety of care.

Rounding up highlights for us is, of course, the Lab app. The Lab app in question comes bearing the knowhow to install testing into a patient’s care journey, something which involves connecting them with at-home or in-person options, and offering automated results delivery. Such a setup, like one might guess, goes a long way to ensure that every patient gets a full picture of their health, while simultaneously empowering the provider to take more informed treatment decisions.
